I love self portraits but I hate self portraits. I love them because I can put my thoughts and feelings into them, I hate them because I can put my thoughts and feeling into them, thoughts and feelings that people might hate. I don't like putting myself up for judgement like this. It's hard enough to put up pictures that I've taken let alone pictures of myself. But, I finally broke through that comfort zone of only standing behind the camera, and I am hoping to do it more often.
